Praise for the Past, Faith for the Future
“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
Matthew 6:20-21
Have you filled out an Estimate of Giving card?
This is an important step to make this process a reality. If you have committed to give to the campaign but have not filled out an Estimate of Giving card, please do so today. Estimate of Giving cards can be found in the glass foyer.
It was brought out at our September Business Meeting that the committee uses the Estimate of Giving cards as a means to negotiate with the banks. We can only negotiate with the cards we have been given. The cards simply represent an amount of money that the people of God have pledged to give to this project over the course of 3 years. It is between you and God. No one actually sees the cards other than the financial secretary. The Steering Committee takes the over all amount pledged and will use that amount to secure the building loan. The Steering Committee is requesting that if you have yet to fill out an Estimate of Giving card, that you do so. This will help the process move along in a more timely manner.
We Understand…that such an endeavor requires sacrifice. We ask God to give us the wisdom and courage to give sacrificially. Under His leadership we can reassess our priorities and provide a measure of stewardship above and beyond regular giving. By raising the level of personal commitment and dedication, we will successfully celebrate God’s work by strengthening, expanding and enhancing our ministry capabilities.
Now we are being called by God to continue our good works. We can only imagine what He will ask of HBC in the future. But we know that God, who exceeds all expectations, has been faithful to us. Through this campaign, we can glorify Him by making our personal commitment…our own dedication of faith.
