Pastor Joe has served as our pastor at Hebron since December 2005.  He is married to Rhonda McCall Alain and has one daughter, Rachel; and two sons, Ben and Caleb.  Joe is a graduate of The Baptist College of Florida and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, having received both the M.Div. and Ph.D degrees.

As well as pastoring, Joe has served as an adjunct faculty member of the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and has published several articles in the field of preaching.  Concerning pastoral ministry, Joe writes, “The biblical model that informs my concept and practice of ministry is that of the ‘Shepherd.’  The faithful shepherd leads by example, cares for the flock, and feeds the flock of God (1 Peter5:1-4; Acts 20:27-28).  Specifically, my role as Pastor is to prepare God’s people [Hebron Baptist Church] for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up (Ephesians 4:12).  In order to fulfill the church’s mission, there must be a balanced proclamation of the whole counsel of the Word of God (Acts 6:4; 20:28).  The Bible and God-centered preaching is central to a biblical pastoral ministry of leading, feeding, and caring for the people of God.”

When not involved in church activities and ministries, Joe enjoys playing tennis, guitar and participating in sport rocketry.
